In The Law of Respect, you will learn why: Leaders go their own way when a group first comes together; People change direction to follow the strongest leaders; People naturally align themselves and follow leaders stronger than themselvesAuthor: John C.

By Silvia Pencak. In this 21 part series, based on John Maxwell’s book The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership, I’m taking you on a journey towards better leadership.

I share with you my own leadership lessons and insights. As a John Maxwell Team Member I’ll be happy to deliver.

A knee-jerk respect for whatever law happens to be on the books at the moment is an abdication of moral responsibility.

But if the idea of society-wide disrespect for the law leaves you feeling uneasy — if you picture rampant crime, and not just the victimless variety — that's because the word law doesn't always refer to the latest ink in the legislators' library of rules and regulations.

However, the law of respect suggests that people naturally follow those with stronger leadership skills. You notice this tendency when a new group forms. Often, the start of a new group is fraught with chaos as the group members sort out those with strong leadership.

Respect for the law is behaving in such a way that you act affirmatively to manifest a respect the law. Respect means acting with deference and esteem, even awe for the law, and with a sense that the law has value over and above the immediacy of the application of the law in a given situation.

This question of legal plunder must be settled once and for all, and there are only three ways to settle it: The few plunder the many. Everybody plunders everybody.

Nobody plunders anybody. Directed by Joseph M. Newman. With Moroni Olsen, Richard Lane, Frank Orth, William Forrest. Shows how so-called "minor" lawbreakers can do more damage than major criminals/10(45).

Everyone in every community benefits when there is respect for the law and when everyone in every community is respected by the law. All over the country, there are creative and effective police departments proving that communities are safer when there is trust and respect between law enforcement and the people they serve.

Respect for the law can mean many different things for many different people. For some, respect for the law means that people should obey laws, whether they like them or not.

But to me, it means that people should acknowledge the laws themselves, and that many are protecting them, not punishing them. The Law of Respect: It's all about being respectable. "The Law of Respect: People naturally follow leaders stronger than themselves." ~ John C.

Humans are created with free will. In America, we choose to live together as members of a civil soc. I’ve been learning, living, and leading others to The 21 Irrefutable Laws of you feel you are not earning deserved respect as a parent, a pastor, a supervisor, an executive or a coach, you might want to pay attention to the Law of Respect, the seventh law of The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership.

The 7th Irrefutable Law of Leadership — The Law of Respect. Submission to Governing Authorities. 13 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.
